Botanically, the H3 variety is a hybrid coffee, originating from Ethiopia. At La Bastilla Estates, this coffee is cultivated with care on it’s own microfarm. This special variety has a high cup quality, velvety character, and makes a fantastic single origin espresso.
Light roasts are bright, crisp, and citric, reminiscent of Ethiopian coffee. Medium roasts bring a robust and complex sweetness, with aromas of flan, caramel, roasted almonds, and chocolate. Dark roasts are immensely satisfying, too, with added texture and a round black cherry note.
