WHAT WE LOVE
Peaceful Valley is long known for its distinctive residents, and even longer known as an important fishing and socializing locale for Native American tribes. Baja Verapaz is a department of Guatemala known for a high percentage of indigenous peoples of Achi Mayan descent, with small coffee farms dappling the mountainous terrain. Farmers employ traditional methods of agriculture and process their coffee cherries on-site, ensuring a critical step of quality control. This lot of coffee is a community-driven effort, with a handful of talented farmers contributing.
Guatemalan coffees are cherished the world over for their sugar complexity and acidic balance, considered by many to be a complete coffee.
This coffee marks a milestone for Peaceful Valley Coffee, being our first Guatemalan offering, and it has brought endless delight: enhancing the blends, and shining on its own. As a single origin in the cup, this coffee satisfies the senses immensely with a mild apple acidity, cocoa textures, and an uplifting finish!
